about
Sunday Worship

What about Kids?

Children are always welcome in worship, (including their spontaneous noises and wiggles).

Nursery Care - is available for kids under 4, with background-checked care givers. The Nursery is located in North Hall.

Elementary Age Children - About 15 minutes into the worship service, the pastor will invite children up front for a Children's Message. After that, they may return to sit with family, or go to Sunday School in South Hall.

Youth around age 11 and older are invited to stay in worship and become integrated into the adult community, or join Sunday School in South Hall after the Children's Moment during worship.

What is a regular Sunday worship service like?

Glad you asked! Music, prayer, scripture, message, snack and conversation. 60-75 minutes.
You can see an example of our worship order and get some explanation here.

Sacraments:
Baptism & Communion

A sacrament is a special ritual in which God has promised to be present in a special way.

Following Jesus' commands to do so, we celebrate two sacraments:
Holy Communion, (also called the Lord's Supper), and Baptism.

What to Wear?

Please be comfortable. Most people dress casually (khaki pants or jeans, comfortable skirts, t-shirts or button-downs). Some people like to dress up, so they do. Our crowd includes folks in a wide range of economic situations, so we strive to accept everyone as they are. We'll be glad you came.

Will I be asked to stand up in front of people?

Nope. We know it takes courage to visit a new place. We will do our best to welcome you, but you won't be singled out to stand or introduce yourself.
